Survivor: Potty Training... Outwit Outplay Outlast... Contestents: Mommy and Daddy Vs. Trevor

A couple weeks ago I decided that Trevor is way too old to be in diapers. So I told him that they no longer made diapers or pull ups in his size and he had to wear underwear like a big boy. I told him we had to save what we had left for night time use. After a week of him going in his underwear and soiling himself constantly I was about to give up. I told him that he was responsible for using the potty and cleaning himself up. If we was dirty then we would help him. Then last weekend we had people over to help us put up our new fence. It turned out that Trevor just needed an audience! He started the morning off by peeing on the deck. I wasn't sure if I should be mad or laugh :) Then on Sunday he started peeing on the grass. He thought it was the coolest thing to do. I was getting excited as the thought of only having two in diapers sounded great! I took him to the store with me on Monday in underwear. We were shopping at JoAnn's when he told me he had to go potty. After much convincing on my part he decided to go use the toilet there. What a big boy using a public restroom! Of course I was so excited that I bought him some candy right away for his accomplishment. Then later while at Fred Meyers he had to go again. Since Monday he has been using the potty everday. He has only had one accident. He has not wet his pants since last week. We are still working on the other. He is doing so good! It looks like mommy and daddy may win this survivor contest afterall.

The latest adventures

Allie and Kara enjoyed their first trip to the swimming pool. We went for water aerobics and the girls did great floating in their little boats! Trevor was able to be in the kiddie pool. Allie has gotten her top two teeth in now. That is four teeth already! Kara's top two are starting to poke through also. Kara now likes to roll onto her tummy and scoot backwards. It is so cute to watch her! Allie has just learned to roll onto her tummy. At first this would make her mad but she is getting used to it now. They both are tummy sleepers now. The girls had their first trip to the lake last Friday. They slept for the 1st hour which gave me time to play with Trevor. Later we went down to the water. Trevor played in the sand while I was feeding the girls. Everyone did great, which is good because Scott was not their as he was working. Trevor has been taking tumbling and he is enjoying it. The girls will be 8 months old on Saturday! Trevor is now enrolled in preschool for next year. I can't believe he is already for school!
