Happenings of the past week

Trevor has been busy riding his bike to the park everyday. The girls have enjoyed going on walks in the evening. They still fit into the infant swing together! The rain will start up again before we know it, so we have been trying to get in a lot of park time. We took Trevor to the Jetty for the first time, he loved it! Of course it closes in a couple days, so we will have to wait until next year. All three can enjoy it then. We asked Trevor what he wants to be for Halloween, a pink butterfly, not just a butterfly, but a pink one!

Allie has been playing peek a boo. She is so cute when she does it! She puts her little hands over her eyes and smiles. We ask "Where's Allie?" and she moves her hands and has the biggest smile on her face!

Kara has been practicing her walking. She will now take 3-4 steps, stop and take a couple more before falling down. She still prefers to crawl, but that is okay with me!

The girls will be celebrating their first birthday next week! I can't believe my babies will be one!

Allie

Not to be outdone by her sister, Allie has taken her first step today! She had the biggest grin on her face! She was so proud of herself, and rightfully so. Before I know it they will both be off and running.

Kara

Kara has taken her first step! In fact she has done 3. Last night she was standing on her own when I watched her pivot her right foot. She did this a couple times, then decided she would see if her left leg could get off the ground! It worked! She was so pleased with herself! After a couple minutes of this she went back to crawling. I've tried to get her to do it again, but she would rather crawl. That is okay. I am not ready for them to walk yet!

Trevor's latest adventures

Trevor starts preschool in 4 weeks! I can't believe my baby is a preschooler now! He loves being a big brother to Allie and Kara. He is a great protector of them. He loves to try and hold and carry them around the house. It makes me a nervous. But I watch him carefully. He does a great job with them.

Trevor has been taking swimming lessons. He now has no fear of the water. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not yet. He has also taken a couple lessons in karate. At first I didn't think it would work out at all. He spent most of the time laying on the floor goofing around. By the end of the 2 week trial he was doing great. Although at this time he is not going to continue. He said he loves tumbling best so I think we will stick him in that in the fall.

Trev's latest phrase is "Our you kidding me?" It is so funny to hear him say it. He also has been repeating the radio stations tag lines. I guess their marketing strategy is really working!

We are still struggling with potty training. Recently at his 4 year check up we found out that he was severely backed up. That has been taken care of and now hopefully we can get back on the road to potty training. He still will not poo on the potty, or in a pull up. He has 4 weeks to figure it out or he won't be able to go to preschool. Knowing him he will hold it during class time and wait until he gets home.

Trevor is learning to count to fifteen. It goes something like this... 123...13,14, five teen.

Kara's latest adventures

Kara is getting so big! Her 1st birthday is fast approaching! Only 3 weeks away. Where did the time go? She is getting her 7th and 8th tooth. I'm sure she will be much happier once they both finally come in. She loves to play "SO BIG" by putting her hands in the air. This will entertain her and her sister for quite some time.

Kara is great at standing alone. She is up to about 20 seconds now. Kara and Allie will entertain each other for long periods of time. You always here laughing and talking in the playroom. Although we have no idea what they are saying :) She can wave "bye bye" and has even said it a couple times.

Allie's latest adventures

Allie is getting so big. I can't believe she will be one in 3 weeks! Her 7th and 8th tooth came in a couple weeks ago. She has gotten a lot of confidence when it comes to crawling now. Allie and Kara love to chase each other around the house. It is so cute to watch them!

Allie has been practicing standing on her own. She is up to 5 seconds. She loves to play "SO BIG" by putting her hands in the air. That keeps Allie and Kara busy for awhile. Allie also loves to climb on things. She is our little dare devil. She loves to laugh and cuddle. She can wave "bye, bye" and she has even said it a couple times. We are still working on that though.
